Yamcha and the rest of the Z Fighters get an experience of how truly powerful Saiyans are when they use the Pendulum Room to transport their minds back in time to Planet Vegeta 100 years in the past. His death devastates Bulma and Puar, as well as Krillin, who swears to avenge Yamcha's sacrifice and does so by destroying most of the Saibamen in utter contempt. However, it only injured Goku. In Xenoverse, in addition to appearing in the main story, he appears in the GT Pack 1 DLC as one of the Future Warrior's optional Masters. When Goku breaks them out by turning into his Great Ape form, Yamcha and Puar cut his tail to ensure everyone's safety. Gohan however says he's better than he thinks, as Gohan reveals that he had Guru unlock some of his hidden power, but Yamcha still feels sorry for himself. When up against three Moro Corps' members (one of whom labeled him as being weak), he corrects them by saying that he's one of the three strongest Earthlings, showcasing his pride of being a powerful Earthling martial artist. During the final battle between Goku and Moro, when Goku is having his energy drained, Yamcha and the others give their energy to Vegeta so that he can pass it on to Goku in an attempt to revitalise him. He is seen in the final ending montage of the episode as well.
